THIMUN conferences bring students together from around the world to learn and share ideas from a diverse set of experiences and backgrounds. The conferences attract participants from Asia, Europe, North and South America, Africa, and the Middle East.
There are a wide variety of committees students can participate in, such as the General Assembly, Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Human Rights and the Environment Committees, to name a few. During a conference, we provide the opportunity for participants to employ a variety of communication and critical thinking skills to represent the policies of the country they are representing.
These skills include public speaking, group communication, research, policy analysis, active listening, negotiating, reaching consensus, conflict resolution, note taking, and technical writing and will help develop their leadership skills. Our conferences offer students the forum to practice these skills while they are still in Secondary School which will be beneficial to them at university and in their future careers.
